2.2 You are responsible for maintaining your own username and password, where required to access your account. You should ensure that you store your username and password securely and that the details required to access your account are not provided to another party.
2.3 You are responsible for your account and actions taken within it. If you are aware or suspect that your account username and password or other details have become known to a third party, you should inform us immediately.
2.4 Our website is only intended for use by adults.
2.5 We reserve the right to restrict or remove your access to this website where you breach these terms and conditions. Such restriction or removal will take place without recourse or explanation to you where we solely deem it appropriate or necessary.

We endeavour to respond to all complaints or queries within five working days.

We shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform any obligation under these terms & conditions if the delay or failure is caused by any circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of god, war, civil disorder or industrial dispute.

6.1 We grant you a licence to access the content, information and services contained within our website for personal use only.

9. Limitations and Exclusions of Liability

9.1 Where content and information is provided on the website without charge we exclude all liability for such content and information.
9.2 All business losses (including, but not limited to) loss of profits, income, revenue, damage to goodwill, loss of other commercial contracts, other commercial opportunities are all excluded.

These terms and conditions are between you and us. They do not apply to, or benefit any third party and are not reliant on any third party.

These terms & conditions set out the entire agreement and understanding between you and us.

17. The Consumer Rights Act 2015

These Terms & Conditions are specifically written in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Should these Terms & Conditions conflict with the Act, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 shall prevail and apply.

Where acting as a consumer your statutory rights are unaffected.

19. Jurisdiction

These terms & conditions shall be interpreted, construed and enforced in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

We comply with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when dealing with all data received from customers or visitors to our website.

We only hold the data necessary to offer services provided on our website. We do not ask for or use more data than necessary to provide you with a proper service. This means we only process and hold data related to purchases and subsequent support related to those purchases, in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Any processing of your data is only done to provide or perform the services or products you have purchased.

Data is only used for the purposes described in our entry on the Data Protection Register.

4. Required Period

We only hold personal data for as long as necessary. Once data is no longer needed we delete it.

5. Card & Payment Processing Data

We use third-party payment providers to handle card and payment processing data securely. We never see or store any card or payment information. In accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) any other data is only used to process your purchase securely. In accordance with Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we need to retain data related to all purchases to fulfil our existing legal obligations to account for tax and VAT on all transactions.

6. Backup & Data Storage

For administrative reasons, customer data and email subscription data may be passed to and stored securely with third party service providers located outside the EEA (European Economic Area). This is done to backup and preserve your data where it is needed to carry on offering a service to you.

7. Customer Requests

As a customer, you can at any time (and free of charge) request details of the data we hold relating to you - and you can also request any such data is amended or deleted. Please note that if you request deletion of your data, this may prevent us from offering any further support relating to your previous purchases.

8. Email Updates

We regularly email website news and information updates to those customers who have specifically subscribed to our email service. All subscription emails sent by us contain clear information on how to unsubscribe from our email service. Our email service is an opt-in service only; with your prior consent required in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means to subscribe you must enter your details into the email subscription page and submit them to us.

9. Our Promise

We never sell rent or exchange mailing lists.

10. Data Sharing With Partners

We do not share commercial or technical data with our partners unless we have specifically sought and obtained your prior approval. Where we request such approval, we will always fully disclose how your data is used. Please note that even when we have your specific consent, we only share data with partners that operate their own privacy policy in full accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, we never send bulk unsolicited emails, (popularly known as Spam) to email addresses.

We may send emails to existing customers or prospective customers who have enquired or registered with us, regarding products or services directly provided by us.

All emails sent by us will be clearly marked as originating from us. All such emails will also include clear instructions on how to unsubscribe from our email service and any future emails. Such instructions will either include a link to a page to unsubscribe or a valid email address to which you should reply, with “unsubscribe” as the email subject heading.

Our website uses "cookies" to track use and allow customers to purchase from our website. Please note that these cookies do not contain or pass any personal, confidential or financial information or any other information that could be used to identify individual visitors or customers purchasing from our website. Please note that you are free to refuse cookies. However, for purely technical reasons this may prevent you from purchasing from our website. This is because anonymous cookies are commonly used to keep track of the contents of customers’ shopping baskets or trolleys during the checkout process. This facility ensures that the items added to (or removed from) your basket are accurately stated when you go to pay.

Panteinion Hall Terms and Conditions

By placing a booking with us at Panteinion Hall, you (the lead guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions as set-out. During your stay you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set-out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking. To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 16 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website and third party websites. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set-out within. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.

Booking a Room or Stay

To secure any booking we require a deposit to be paid in advance, this deposit amount is = 50% of the booking total (or as set out with third party websites). Deposit payments must be 'cleared funds' before a booking can be confirmed. Deposits are only refundable under the conditions set-out here within. With the full amount due prior to the take up of the stay.

Payments can be made online / over the phone using debit / credit card as well as by digital bank transfer, or cash deposit. Any charges raised against us by our banks for handling dishonoured cheque's, bank transfers or any other payments, must be reimbursed by the lead guest within seven (7) days of any request to do so. All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honouring this agreement or causing a disturbance / nuisance to other guests, neighbours or the owners.

Check-in & Check-out

Guests must check-in and check-out by the times stated below;

    1. Check-in by: 14:00pm and before 21:00pm on day of arrival
    2. Check-out by: 11:00am on day of departure

Cancellation, Returned Deposit & Non-Arrival Conditions

Guest who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. Deposits already paid are only returned in accordance with the following conditions;

1. Cancellation made 15 days or more in advance of arrival date = Full deposit refund 2. Cancellation made 14 days or less of arrival date = No refund issued, the Full amount of the booking is still due. Any deposits taken will be withheld with the remaining balance due by return.

Non-arrival guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason forfeit their deposit paid and the full amount of the booking will be due. It is suggested that booking guests take out appropriate holiday / cancellation insurance where required.

In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

WiFi Fair & Appropriate Usage Policy

Where WiFi Internet access is provided, guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service to all our guests.

The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is not prohibited and will be reported to local authorities.

Damages & Lost Property

We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, burns, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs. Lost keys will incur a replacement charge per key lost.

Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out. We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collection can be arranged.

Smoking

Smoking of any tobacco products including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars, snuff or chewing tobacco, is only allowed in designated areas Outside, as sign posted throughout the accommodation and is in accordance with the Health Act 2006.

Pets & Service DogsWe do accept up to 2 dogs, and the owners are responsible for their hygiene and any damage caused to the property, inside and out. All dogs Must be kept on a lead at all times inside and outside the building.

Parking

Where on-site parking is provided and available to guests on a first come first served basis, guests must accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk.

Hot Tub

The hot tub must be pre-booked by arrangement, our hot tub is a log burning hot tub, logs are chargeable for use at £3,00 per bag (average to heat is 4 bags depending on the outside temperature) being log burning with a fire furnace care must be taken around the hot tub at all times. As the lead guest, you are accepting this acknowledgement and disclaimer on behalf of each member of your party and will ensure each member of your party is aware of and strictly adheres to the guidelines set out below when using the hot tub.

Yourself and all members of your party hereby agree to ensure that any children in your care, or associated with your party are supervised at all times when they are in the vicinity of the hot tub. Extreme caution must be taken to ensure that no child under five years of age is permitted to enter the Hot Tub at any time. Any children over five years of age and under 16 years of age using the Hot Tub or near the Hot Tub are closely supervised at all times. The nature of the wood burning Hot Tub mean extra care is needed due to hot surfaces, real fires and chimneys. It is important to understand and be aware that the temperature can not be controlled whilst using it, however it can be managed with care and due diligence. A maximum of Four persons may enter it at any one time.

All members of your party and yourself as lead guest understand and agree that:

A wood fired hot tub needs extra caution due to the natural, unregulated way the water is heated. It is essential to test the water temperature before entering. A thermometer is provided and a hose is available near to the hot tub. Recommended temperature 37.5 degrees.

No member of your party may use the Hot Tub without prior consultation with a doctor if he/she is obese or has a medical history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory system problems or diabetes.

Some medications may induce drowsiness and others may affect heart rate, blood pressure and circulation. If any member of your party has recently taken or is currently taking any medication, he/she will consult a doctor before using the Hot Tub.

    1. No member of your party may use the Hot Tub is he/she has an infectious disease or has any open sores and/or wounds due to the possibility of spreading infection.
    2. No member of your party may use the Hot Tub if she is pregnant or potentially pregnant without prior consultation with a doctor.
    3. Prolonged immersion in the Hot Tub may be hazardous to health.

All members of your party accept and acknowledge the risks, liability and injury may be caused or increased by your own acts, omission, negligence or failure to follow any guidelines provided.

Panteinion Hall shall not be liable in such circumstances. You must also accept and acknowledge that you will be held responsible and incur charges for the full damage to the Hot Tub and/or Lid which occurs during our stay.

Panteinion Hall accepts no responsibility for any direct or indirect loss, damage or injury suffered or incurred by any person using the Hot Tub. The hot tub is not available for use by school/college and university group bookings.

Your Personal Details & Privacy

We are required to keep a register of guests over the age of 16 who stay with us, this includes full names and lead guest full address and contact telephone number.

These records are kept for a minimum of 12 months and in accordance with the DPA (Data Protection Act 1998) and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

Our policy surrounding the personal details you provide as part of any booking or enquiry through this website / or third party website, including the privacy of those details are explained and set out in our Privacy Policy which you can read here.

You accept that any entries you make to an on-site guest book, if available, will not contain personal information or details you would not want disclosed. Any entries containing personal details that may fall into the DPA and GDPR may be removed and destroyed.

Whether your pleasure is to climb or walk places such as Cadre Idris on our doorstep or a walk up to the famous “Blue Lake” or for the more adventurous Mount Snowdon or a walk along the famous Welsh Coastal Path which is less than 100 yards from us.

You’ll be spoilt by our Blue Flag beaches, cycling the Mawddach estuary trail or a steam train and ferry ride over to Barmouth and the picturesque town of Dolgellau is only a short distance away, there is something for everyone as soon as you walk out the door.

Well behaved dogs are welcome at the dog friendly Panteinion Hall B&B Guest House, in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.

We are ideally placed to take dogs, being set well away from traffic and roads, with lots of good doggy walking routes right on our door step. We try to have as few rules as possible for our canine guests so that they enjoy their stay as much as you do:

  • Please keep your doggy on a lead outside as there are sheep grazing down our lane
  • Pets are not permitted on beds or furniture out of respect for other guests

  • Please scoop and bin any doggy waste left in our gardens
